[wp_tab name=”MORE INFO ABOUT THIS AGE GROUP”]

Students enrolled in these sessions become members of the Professional Apprentice Company

Session includes Afternoon Classes 3 PM – 6 PM with qualified Professional Instructors and Evening Rehearsals 7 PM – 10:30 PM for the Show. A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be available closer to the rehearsal dates.
Students have Mondays Off during both Sessions, except for the Week of Technical Rehearsals. They will be given an additional day off in the week before, this will be determined by Stage Management and the Director.
Students will have ample breaks during the day and have 1 hour for dinner between 6 PM and 7 PM.
Students will be immersed in a Professional Actors Equity rehearsal period and must be available to perform in all 5 Performances of the show in their session.
Students will learn the workings of a “Summer Stock” schedule, working with a Professional staff and Broadway Performers.
Students will become members of the Professional Apprentice Company, and as members of the P.A.C., they will also work in other departments, gaining valuable knowledge of how an entire production is produced from inception to closing night.
The rigors of the opportunity to become a member of this Elite group will require a complete commitment from the students and their families. We suggest that this type of scheduling be discussed at length and that the parents and the students attend the Summer Academy Orientation on either Wednesday evening April 15th at 7 PM or Thursday evening April 16th at 7 PM to learn the importance of, once registered, being able to participate and complete the entire course.
Students may choose to attend one or both sessions. Auditions are not required to register for the sessions. However, auditions for both shows will take place in MAY and all students wishing to attend either session are required to audition for specific placement in the show performed during their session. A special audition will be set aside specifically for Registered Academy students and will be by appointment. This audition will be treated as an “Agent Call”, giving the students a chance to experience a true professional audition experience. All auditions are run by The Romanutti Agency.
All students will be ‘pre-cast” in the Ensemble of the show that is being presented during their session. However, there are roles that will be cast from within the Professional Apprentice Company. NONE of the major roles that are age appropriate for students ages 13-18 will be pre-cast; those roles will be available to P.A.C. students, if they choose to audition for those specific roles. A list of those roles will be made available as well as music and sides to all P.A.C. students before the material is released to the general public.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY – Students ages 13-18 enrolled in the Summer Academy will be offered an ensemble role in a Concert of Man of La Mancha being presented on Bannerman Island August 8th and 9th with a Special performance on Friday August 7th on the Main stage at Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center. This is not a requirement, but a chance for the Professional Apprentice Company to learn how a Staged Concert is put together with Broadway performers.[/wp_tab]
